This is NOT a free-dress week! If your student does not participate in the theme of the day, they MUST be in regular Metro E dress code. Also, Crocs, slides, and flip-flops are NOT permitted on any dress-up day.

Our SchoolFundr Fall Fundraiser officially launches Wednesday, but we need your help RIGHT NOW!
Before students can begin campaigning, their SchoolFundr account MUST be registered. Registration takes only 2–3 minutes per student!
📊 Currently, only 222 of our 685 students are registered. We have a LOT of Buccaneers left to go!
👉 Right now, we are ONLY asking you to register your student's account. The actual fundraising/campaigning begins Wednesday.
🎯 Our school-wide goal is $20,000!
The funds raised will help provide student incentives throughout the year and support important campus projects and needs. Plus, 97% of the proceeds come back to Metro E!

Metro Elementary School of Design is proud to share our Final Accountability Rating for the 2025–2026 school year — an 85, earning a “B” rating from the Texas Education Agency! 💙🏆
This accomplishment belongs to our entire Metro family. Every day, our students worked hard and showed what they are capable of. Our teachers and staff poured their hearts into providing engaging, meaningful learning experiences. And our families supported, encouraged, and partnered with us every step of the way.
An accountability rating is one measure of our success, but we are incredibly proud of what this B represents: growth, perseverance, high expectations, and a school community committed to excellence.

As we prepare to welcome our Buccaneers back for another amazing school year, please take a few minutes to review our Parent Drop-Off and Parent Pick-Up maps below.
These procedures are designed with one goal in mind—keeping every child safe while making arrival and dismissal as smooth and efficient as possible.
A few important reminders:
🚗 Review the map for your child's designated pick-up location.
🚫 Please do not use areas marked "Not a Drop-Off Location" or "Not a Pick-Up Location."
👋 Students may enter through the Main Entrance or the PreK Gate. (PreK families will continue to use the PreK gate.)
🏫 Parents (with the exception of PreK parents using the PreK gate) will not be walking students to classrooms.
We know the first few days may take a little extra patience as everyone learns the new routines. Thank you in advance for your grace, cooperation, and partnership in helping us provide a safe and positive experience for all of our students.
We can't wait to welcome everyone back to Metro E! It's going to be an incredible year of learning, creativity, and leadership.

Dear Metro E Parents and Guardians,
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we want to inform you of important updates to our campus dress code policy. After careful review and collaboration, the new dress code was adopted by our Metro E Instructional Council and Campus Advisory Team to better support a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for all students.
This updated dress code includes several major adjustments from previous years, and we want to ensure families have ample time to prepare before the school year begins.
Some of the most important updates include:
• Any color polo shirts with collars are permitted
• Any solid color standard-cut pants, jeans, shorts, and skirts are allowed
• ONLY CLEAR backpacks will be allowed on campus
• Shoes must have a closed toe and heel
• CROCS, slippers, slides, sandals, and house shoes are prohibited
• Pajama pants, sweatpants, basketball shorts, and athletic warm-ups are not permitted unless approved for a designated dress-up day
• Tight-fitting leggings, tights, bicycle shorts, and spandex-style pants are prohibited
• Hoodies are allowed, but hoods may not be worn over the head during the school day
• No unnatural hair colors, shaved designs, or distracting hairstyles will be allowed
The purpose of this updated dress code is to help minimize distractions, promote student safety, encourage school pride, and maintain high expectations for student appearance and behavior.
We understand these changes are different from past years, and we appreciate your partnership and support as we implement these expectations consistently across campus. We strongly encourage families to review the complete dress code policy before purchasing school clothing and supplies for next year.
Please know that our goal is always to create the best possible learning environment for every child at Metro E. We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to helping our students arrive at school ready to learn each day.
