Kaffie placed third. In the Impromptu Speaking Preliminary competition, Claire Meldrum advanced to the finals where she placed third. In Number Sense, Athan Estrada placed fifth. Congratulations to Jennelle Perez for proudly representing all of CCISD and Kaffie middle school in the TMEA Region 14 clinic and concert this past Saturday!

Jennelle won the opportunity to perform the song, "Por Un Amor" with the Region 14 Mariachi group 2. She represented Kaffie with talent and beauty.

She also was able to meet: José Hernández and his daughter Crystal Hernandez. Jose Hernandez is a master of mariachi music. The Grammy-winning world-renowned musician, composer, and music educator, is founder of the world-famous Mariachi Sol de México and America's first all-female professional mariachi ensemble Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, with whom his daughter Crystal is a founding member.
