Corpus Christi ISD is proud to announce the next phase of its 1:1 for everyone, which expands access to digital learning tools for all grade levels. During the 2025–26 school year, students in grades K–12 will have access to a district-issued device. Students in grades 3 through 5 will have access to a 1:1 device while at school, and students in grades 6-12 will have a device directly assigned to them for use at school and home. Families of students in grades 3–8 will also have the option to request that their child’s device be sent home for extended learning opportunities. Highlights of the Initiative: Internet filters: All devices will be equipped with internet filtering to help ensure safe browsing at school and home. Insurance options: Families will have access to device insurance options ranging from $15-$30, which can be found on the school webstore. Student Technology Service Center: Certified high school student technicians will continue to provide device repair and maintenance through the Student Technology Service Center, supporting both sustainability and career-ready skills development. “Providing devices for each student ensures equitable access districtwide and enables students to take learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, when appropriate,” said Director of Technology Support Services Janelle Reyes. Moody High School will be using a block schedule on Monday, May 5 through Wednesday, May 7 to provide ample time for our students who are taking End of Year assessments in classes. These assessments provide us with information on your student's academic growth throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Please make sure our Trojans are in classes for these important assessments. Seniors who regularly have excused periods must follow this schedule to participate in their assessments and for proper attendance reporting. Go Trojans! 💙💛

Congratulations to our Coach Oscar Valenzuela who is officially being named Moody Head Boys Basketball Coach. Coach Valenzuela's commitment to Moody is unmatched serving 18 years for the Moody Trojans. Valenzuela is currently Moody's AVID teacher and has coached multiple sports while here at Moody High School. Coach Valenzuela takes on this new role with having previous experience in coaching basketball, soccer, cross country, football and track for Moody High School. We are excited to have him take over the program and see the great things he has to offer Moody High School Boys Basketball. " I'm excited for the opportunity to lead this basketball program where we'll sharpen each other like iron sharpens iron and help transform boys into young men of character. We had an AMAZING morning at Moody High School with our juniors as they participated in our first ever Hop & Stop US History STAAR Review. Our juniors CRUSHED IT as they rotated through all 8 stations and actively engaged with the tasks, games, and questions. A big THANK YOU and SHOUT OUT to The Garcia Center and Westside Business Association for their generous donations of cupcakes and gift cards. We also want to thank all the staff and teachers who volunteered their time to make this event such a success. Thank you to our US History team Mx. Ramirez, Ms. Walker, and Coach Murillo. Y'all are an incredible team of educators! Thank you for making this happen!
